What exactly is a fractional CFO?

A fractional CFO is a senior financial executive who works with your business part-time or on a project basis. You get the strategic expertise of a CFO at a fraction of the cost of a full-time hire — typically 10-30 hours per month.

How is Control CFO different from my accountant?

Your accountant focuses on compliance — taxes, filings, historical records. Control CFO provides forward-looking financial strategy: forecasting, KPI tracking, cash flow management, and helping you make better business decisions with your money.

What size businesses do you work with?

We work with businesses from $500K to $20M in annual revenue. Our sweet spot is growth-stage companies that have outgrown DIY finance but aren't ready for a full-time CFO.

How long does onboarding take?

Most clients are fully onboarded within 10-14 business days. We handle the heavy lifting — connecting your accounts, cleaning up historical data, and setting up your financial dashboard.

Do you replace my bookkeeper?

We can, or we can work alongside your existing team. Many clients hand us their full bookkeeping stack; others keep their bookkeeper and add our CFO advisory services on top.

What accounting software do you work with?

We work natively with QuickBooks Online, Xero, and FreshBooks. We also integrate with payroll platforms like Gusto and ADP, and e-commerce platforms like Shopify and Stripe.

How are you priced?

We offer three tiers: Bookkeeping from $500/mo, CFO Advisory from $2,000/mo, and an All-In package from $3,500/mo. All plans are month-to-month with no long-term contracts.

Is my financial data secure?

Absolutely. We use bank-level 256-bit encryption, SOC 2 Type II compliant infrastructure, and never store your credentials. All access is read-only unless you explicitly grant write permissions.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. We operate on month-to-month agreements. Give us 30 days notice and we'll ensure a clean, documented handoff of everything we've built for you.

Do you offer tax filing services?

We provide tax planning and strategy year-round. For filing, we partner with top CPA firms nationwide and coordinate the entire process so you never have to manage multiple finance vendors.
